Terms of Sale

The agreement between you and the workshop when you place an order.

Last updated: Draft — not yet published

Placeholder terms. These are a structured starting point, not legal advice, and they have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Terms of sale determine what happens when something goes wrong — have them checked before you accept a single payment.

1. Who you're buying from

iDrum Dynamics, Christchurch, New Zealand (NZBN 9429000000000), referred to below as "we" or "us".

2. Prices and GST

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST at 15%.
  • The launch price of $649.00 is a limited promotional price against a recommended retail price of $699.00, and may end at any time. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.
  • We correct pricing errors. If a listed price is obviously wrong, we will contact you before charging you and you may cancel for a full refund.

3. Placing an order

Adding an item to your cart is not an order. A contract forms only when we accept your order and confirm it by email. We may decline an order — for example if we cannot build it in a reasonable time or cannot ship to your address — and will refund you in full if we do.

4. Payment

Payment is taken in full at checkout and processed by Stripe. We do not handle or store card details. Your build begins once payment clears.

5. Made to order

Each snare is built to order. Because your money is committed to materials early, we ask that you cancel within 24 hours of ordering if you change your mind before dispatch; after that, the change-of-mind return in our Returns & Warranty policy applies instead.

6. Delivery and risk

Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. See Shipping & Delivery.

7. Compatibility

Our compatibility guide is provided in good faith to help you choose, and we will happily confirm your specific module before you order. Because module firmware and settings vary, it is not a guarantee of a particular sound or trigger response with your equipment. If we have told you it will work with your module and it does not, that is a fault — talk to us.

8. Consumer rights

Where you buy as a consumer, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 apply and nothing in these terms limits them. Where you buy in trade for business purposes, you and we agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.

9. Liability

Subject to clause 8, our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost performance income.

10. Intellectual property

The iDrum Dynamics name, the site's content and its imagery are ours. Component brands referred to on this site are the trade marks of their respective owners, used only to describe compatibility.

11. Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
