Returns & Warranty

What happens if it isn't right, and what we cover if something fails.

Last updated: Draft — not yet published

Placeholder policy. Consumer law in New Zealand is not optional and the wording below has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked — particularly the interaction between the voluntary return window, the warranty, and the Consumer Guarantees Act — before you take real payments.

Your rights come first

The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 gives you rights that no policy on this page can reduce. If the snare is faulty, not as described, or not fit for the purpose we told you it was, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of anything below. Everything that follows is in addition to that, not instead of it.

Changed your mind

You have 14 days from delivery to return the snare for a refund of the purchase price. To qualify it must come back in the condition it arrived in — played is fine, damaged or modified is not — in its original packaging.

  • Email us first so we can send return instructions and confirm the address.
  • Return freight for a change of mind is at your cost.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method within five working days of the snare arriving and being checked.

Warranty

Every snare carries a 24-month warranty from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship, including the trigger assembly, wiring and output jack.

What it covers

  • Trigger failure, intermittent triggering or a dead zone not caused by damage.
  • Failure of the output jack or internal wiring.
  • Structural failure of the shell, hoops or lugs under normal playing.
  • Foam cylinder compression that measurably changes response within the term.

What it doesn't cover

  • The mesh head, which is a consumable and wears with playing.
  • Cosmetic marks, dents and finish wear from ordinary use, transport or gigging.
  • Damage from liquid, extreme humidity, drops, or transport by a third party.
  • Modification, disassembly of the trigger chassis, or repair by anyone else.
  • Module settings — we will help you dial it in, but that is support, not a fault.

Making a claim

Email hello@idrumdynamics.co.nz with your order reference, a description of the problem and — if you can — a short video of it happening. Most trigger complaints turn out to be a module setting we can fix in one message. If it is a genuine fault, we cover freight both ways and will repair or replace it.

Damaged on arrival

Photograph the packaging before opening it and contact us the same day. See Shipping & Delivery.
