Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we don't do with it.
Last updated: Draft — not yet published
Placeholder policy. Written to describe how this site actually behaves today, which is deliberately minimal. It has not been legally reviewed, and it must be updated the moment you add analytics, a mailing-list provider, or a form backend — each of those changes what you collect and who you share it with.
Who we are
iDrum Dynamics, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. NZBN 9429000000000. Contact: hello@idrumdynamics.co.nz.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address and whatever you put in the message.
- When you join the notify list: your email address only.
- When you order: payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive your name, delivery address, email and a payment confirmation — we never see or store your card number.
What we don't collect
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party analytics. Small preferences — your cart contents and whether you dismissed the announcement bar — are stored in your own browser's local storage. They never leave your device and we cannot read them.
How we use it
To answer your question, to build and ship your order, and to send the single email you asked for if you joined the notify list. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is the controller of your payment data; see their privacy policy.
- Our courier — the name and address needed to deliver your order.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records for seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires. Enquiries for two years. Notify-list addresses until you ask to be removed, or until the launch email has been sent and the list is deleted.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@idrumdynamics.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will date the change at the top of this page. Related: Terms of Sale.
