Shipping & Delivery
How long your snare takes to build, and how it gets to you.
Last updated: Draft — not yet published
Placeholder policy. This is a sensible starting point written to match how the business is described elsewhere on the site — it has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the carrier, timeframes and rates below need confirming against what you actually offer. Review every paragraph before launch.
Build time
Each snare is assembled, wired and trigger-calibrated to order in our Christchurch workshop. Allow 5–10 working days from payment to dispatch. If your order will take longer than that — because of a materials delay, for example — we will email you before your build starts rather than after.
Within New Zealand
- Free tracked courier on every order, to any New Zealand address.
- Typical transit is one working day to main centres and two to three to rural addresses, after dispatch.
- A tracking number is emailed the moment the courier collects. Someone must be available to sign — we do not authorise unsigned deliveries for an item of this value.
To Australia
Flat rate $49.00 NZD, tracked, typically five to ten working days after dispatch. Any duties, GST or customs charges levied on arrival are the recipient's responsibility.
Everywhere else
We ship worldwide, but freight for a drum shell varies enormously by destination. Send us your address via the contact form before ordering and we will quote you a real number rather than guess.
Packaging
The snare ships double-boxed with moulded foam around the hoops and a protective disc over the mesh head. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, photograph it before opening and contact us the same day — that photo is what makes a carrier claim straightforward.
If something goes wrong in transit
Risk passes to you on delivery, but we deal with the carrier, not you. Tell us what arrived and we will repair, replace or refund. See Returns & Warranty for the full position, and note that nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
